MA International Relations

With a rise in global conflicts and with forced migration at all time historic highs, it is evident that the events from one part of the world can have a direct or indirect impact in another. Whether we like it or not, international relations are part of our everyday lives and cannot be ignored.

Over the course of your degree you’ll begin to unpack and analyze a number of complex issues in international relations including world politics, international affairs, globalization, the media and economic growth. You’ll also be given the chance to study and analyze the legal, historical and socioeconomic elements of international relations.

Many students choose to study all or part of the MA International Relations in one of Webster’s campuses across the world. MA Media Communications

Webster’s MA in Media Communications is uniquely designed for students who want to study the ways that society use the media to communicate ideas. The degree also explores the relationship between technology and shifting cultures and how the media and communication impact upon all aspects of our lives. Key areas such as the impacts upon government, business and society will be looked at in more detail.

BA International Relations

Webster’s BA International Relations helps students to develop a critical analysis of why countries act the way they do. It is also aimed to provide an understanding of the relationships that exist between international institutions, governments, companies and individuals.

This degree combines politics, history and foreign languages to give students a comprehensive understanding of the international system. Classes can be taken either face-to-face or online and include subjects such as political theory, international law, international organizations and diplomatic history. Similar to other Webster degrees, classes are kept small to ensure individualized instruction and personalized learning.

In addition to classroom study, faculty and staff at Webster Thailand encourage students to participate in the formal internship program. Not only do they have to ensure that everything runs smoothly, but they are also the conduit between the general staff and management. The ability to be an effective Human Resource Manager not only requires an understanding and grounding in management theory, but also a number of other personal attributes.

The ‘soft skills’ of a Human Resource Manager are diverse and cover almost everything you could possibly think of.
